There are no shortcuts or room for error when it comes to fire and safety on board so it is vital that all your fire fighting and safety equipment is inspected, tested and maintained correctly.

Understanding all the requirements to ensure your vessel is ready in the event of an emergency can sometimes be challenging to navigate.

At K2 Marine & Fire Safety, we have the knowledge and experience to deliver  highly skilled and certified services in accordance with Safety For Life At Sea (SOLAS), International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) standards and regulations, laws of individual flag states and your insurance obligations.

Inspection, testing, maintenance and certification of fire suppression systems including:

  • clean agent and Co2 gaseous systems - pressure and liquid level testing, recharging, repairs and replacement

  • water mist systems

  • foam systems - foam concentrate testing, analysis and replacement

  • marine aerosol systems

  • wet chemical systems - galley fire

  • fixed dry chemical systems

Inspection, testing, maintenance and certification of fire detection and alarm systems including:

  • emergency warning and intercommunication systems (EWIS)

Inspection, testing, maintenance and certification of fire fighting equipment including:

  • clean agent and Co2 gaseous systems - pressure and liquid level testing, recharging, repairs and replacement

  • fire extinguishers - hydrostatic pressure testing, refilling and replacement

  • emergency escape breathing devices (EEBDs) and self contained breathing apparatus (SCBAs) - air quality testing, hydrostatic testing, refilling and replacement

  • fire pumps - repairs, flow and pressure testing

  • lay flat fire hoses - repairs and replacement

  • fire suits - inspection and supply

  • immersion suits - inspection and supply
